Artistic project imitating a woven canopy with bright red anodized aluminum chains.

Architects Joan Bardy and Jean Orliac chose Kriskadecor chains to create “Baldaquí”, the ephemeral installation they presented at the A Cel Obert Festival in Tortosa 2019, which won the jury’s prize.

The installation imitated a canopy woven with bright red anodized aluminum chains. The typology of these chains allows, in spite of obtaining a fairly dense result, to filter the sun’s rays and the indiscreet and curious glances of the festival visitors.

The place chosen to locate this installation was the Passatge Franquet, listed as a cultural asset of local interest, a unique space framed by an eclectic style building from 1877.

The A Cel Obert Festival was born with the aim of rediscovering the courtyards of Tortosa and its heritage. It also promotes the use of environmentally friendly materials, such as aluminum, which is highly recyclable indefinitely.
