Kriskadecor project where the monumental and the modern meet.
The Andrássy Palace stands as a symbol of elegance and history in one of the most iconic places in Budapest. Located on the renowned Andrássy Avenue, this thoroughfare is much more than just a street: it is one of the most monumental and emblematic arteries of the city. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002, Andrássy Avenue represents the heart of 19th century urbanism in Budapest.
Its imposing architecture, housing homes, exclusive stores and historical monuments, has witnessed the city’s transformation from its imperial era to the modern metropolis it is today.
The building has been renovated with a vision that respects the historic grandeur of the area while integrating modern architectural solutions. The Capstone studio, in charge of rethinking the building’s common areas, has achieved a perfect balance between the classic and the contemporary. The atrium is distinguished by the Kriskadecor ceiling solution, which acts as a sculptural chandelier at the heart of the space.
Composed of concentric cylinders of varying height and a gradient of colour, this installation not only stands out for its beauty, but also transforms the environment with its ability to reflect and refract light. The metallic surface of the chains allows the light to shine in a unique way, creating a warm and changing glow that brings a sense of dynamism and sophistication. In this way, the installation becomes a centerpiece that not only illuminates, but also enriches the atmosphere, merging the modern with the monumental in a harmonious way.
Thus, the Andrássy Palace is not just an office space: it is a bridge between Budapest’s glorious past and its dynamic present, a space that respects the monumentality of its surroundings while adapting to the needs of the contemporary world.
