Kriskadecor project with a decorative perimeter frame that functions as an access door.

IPG Mediabrands, the dynamic global marketing agency group, needed a working environment in Amsterdam that would foster creativity, innovation and cooperation among its diverse brands. To achieve this, the Tétris Netherlands team designed a modern and functional space, inspired by industrial style, where gray and brown tones predominate. This design not only reflects the company’s identity, but is also designed to promote a stimulating atmosphere, conducive to collaboration and differentiation between the different companies that make up the group.

One of the highlighted areas within the office is a space dedicated to employee relaxation and reflection, where the Shaped Frame is located, a decorative structure that, through a hollowing out of chains, serves as both a space divider and an access door. This element, which uses the Earth pattern from Claire Davies’ Essential collection, brings glamour and texture to the environment, while its clean-lined, modern design maintains the minimalist approach that characterizes the rest of the space. Anodized aluminum chains allow natural light to flow through the space, creating an open-plan environment that is uninterrupted by traditional walls.

A modern, collaborative workspace in Amsterdam

This intelligent use of materials and the open design of the work areas underscores IPG Mediabrands’ philosophy of innovation. Instead of solid walls, the space is organized in a way that optimizes interaction and the flow of ideas between the different firms in the group, while respecting each firm’s identity. The office is configured to allow for both quiet individual work and open collaboration, creating the perfect balance between concentration and communication.

Tétris used the metaphor of a family tree to reflect the structure of the group, where each of the companies that are part of IPG Mediabrands has its own identity, but at the same time benefits from the synergy created within the common space. This approach not only optimizes the design, but also facilitates collaboration and the exchange of ideas between the various firms in the group.
