Aluminium chain project brings the essence of the ocean to the hotel's elegant lounges
The relationship between Kriskadecor’s design solutions and water is not casual. Its continuous, natural movement infuses the space with energy, bringing freshness, light and completely transforming the atmosphere of any environment. This is clearly reflected in the lobby of the Stora Hotellet in Umeå, designed by Stylt Trampoli AB, where seasonal greens predominate, evoking the vibrant nature of the city.
Umeå, with its rich and proud maritime tradition, served as inspiration for the studio, which sought to create an atmosphere of contrasts. The mix of velvet, champagne and sea foam gives life to a unique space, where elegance and freshness meet in perfect balance.
To bring the essence of the ocean to the hotel’s elegant lounges, Stylt Trampoli AB turned to Kriskadecor’s aluminium chains, creating a series of volumes in satin green and brilliant emerald, along with other warm colours, evoking the softness and dynamism of the sea.
This design solution begins at the automatic entrance door, where metal chains welcome guests, and extends across the entire ceiling, as if ocean waves were gradually entering the space. The installation not only provides visual impact, but also allows for a seamless transition between the different elements of the lobby, creating an enveloping and unique feeling that transports visitors to a place where the sea meets luxury and modernity.
