Architectural design project that reduces the entry of sunlight into the interior of the school as a canopy.

Architects Fran Fernández, Fina Frontado and Saida Dalmau designed this large aluminum chain sunshade with a circus tent look, adding a touch of color to the school building, a rectangular building measuring 84 x 17 m, oriented north-south.

The 80-meter wide curtain, with variable heights of between 5 and 6 meters that adapt to the shape of the building, reduces the entry of sunlight into the interior of the school like a canopy, but allows vision and ventilation through it.

Special anchoring systems were studied to resist inclement weather, as well as solar incidence depending on the time of year. In addition, a system was developed to minimize noise between strips, resulting in practically zero noise.
