Kriskadecor's project provides privacy without detracting from the feeling of spaciousness that characterizes the new premises.

The Classic Rock Café (CRC), a landmark for lovers of American music and cuisine, has found its new home in Stuttgart-Mitte, after having to leave behind its iconic basement premises due to the construction of a new building. The new space, located in a transition zone between the city center and the university, opens up to the sky through a large, semicircular halogen, where visitors can enjoy a renewed experience. Unlike its former location, the new Classic Rock Café offers, for the first time, an outdoor area, adding a new dimension to the venue that loyal attendees have come to appreciate.

To carry out this new transformation, the owners enlisted Stuttgart-based interior designer Cyrus Ghanai, who has already been responsible for several prominent restoration projects in the city.

Innovative design with a touch of rock personality

Behind the entrance, Ghanai has created a dining area separated by a Kriskadecor curtain, which provides privacy without detracting from the feeling of spaciousness that characterizes the new premises. The use of aluminum chains, an element as versatile as it is decorative, provides an interesting visual texture and adds dynamism to the space, respecting the industrial and modern essence of the design, while maintaining privacy for customers. In addition, the divider includes the initials of the venue, CRC, a personalized touch that not only reinforces the Classic Rock Café’s identity, but also provides a visually appealing element that connects the design with the history of the venue.

Ghanai also designed a strategic arrangement of furniture to meet the different needs of the space. Tables of different heights and configurations have been integrated to suit both meal times, relaxation and social interaction. The design of the walls has become a centerpiece of the aesthetics of the place: the logos of famous rock bands have been reinterpreted and creatively arranged on wallpaper, not only as decoration, but also as an element loaded with character and fun, which gives a personal and charming touch to the environment.
