Leisure | City: Brussels, Belgium | Designed by: WeWantMore Studio
Located in the city of Brussels, this elegant lounge bar, where you can drink, relax and smoke shisha, transports you to Morocco on a dreamlike journey.
According to Coline Jarry, Product & Interior Designer at WeWantMore Studio, in this project they wanted to play with the visitor's senses by designing an upside-down riad. The wavy metal ceiling creates the illusion of a floating pool. Together with the reversed arches and a spherical mirror, the distorted design concept is magnified.
The arches, made of 18 Kriskadecor aluminium chain curtains in brilliant gold and brown, immerse the customer in the impressive rolling sand dunes of the desert. Traditional Moroccan lights with a smoke pattern add a warm hue to the space.
For the design of the cocktail area, they got inspired by Morgana le Fay, King Arthur's legendary half-sister, powerful enchantress and potion maker. At Le Fay, the concept of mirages is woven into the space through the illusions of the sun and the organic shapes made of Moroccan brass that climb up the wall.
