On 17 October, Montblanc hosted one of the most special events of Sans Amill’s centenary year. A celebration created to share 100 years of history with many of the people who, at different times and in different ways, have been part of the company’s journey.
The day began with a visit from Miquel Sàmper, “Conseller” for Business and Labour of the Government of Catalonia, who had the opportunity to learn more about our history and Kriskadecor today. His visit marked the beginning of a celebration that was also attended by representatives of local and regional institutions.

A journey through 100 years of history
Following the welcome, guests were divided into groups to explore “100 Years Crafting Emotions”, the temporary exhibition created to mark the centenary and displayed across several locations in Montblanc.
The tour offered the opportunity to discover the installations created with aluminium chains while exploring the connection between the company’s history, its signature material and the streets of the town where it was founded in 1926.

The celebration then continued at the former church of Sant Francesc, where the documentary created for the centenary was screened for the first time. Through the voices of family members, current and former employees, the film traces the evolution of Sans Amill, from its beginnings with the first metal chain curtains to Kriskadecor today and the architecture and interior design projects it develops around the world.
It is a story told not only through dates and milestones, but above all through the people who have made these hundred years possible.

A time to remember and give thanks
Following the screening, Joan Canela, Vice-President of the Conca de Barberà County Council, and Marc Vinya, Mayor of Montblanc, addressed the guests.
Josep Maria, Cristina and Maties Sans, the third generation of the family at the helm of the company, also took to the stage to remember the generations that came before them, thank all those who have been part of Sans Amill over the past hundred years and share the company’s outlook for the future.
From there, the day moved into a more informal celebration. Family, friends, colleagues and former colleagues, collaborators and people connected to Kriskadecor-Sans Amill had the opportunity to reconnect and share memories, conversations and stories in a relaxed atmosphere accompanied by live music.

More than simply marking a milestone, the day was an opportunity to bring different generations together and thank all those who, in one way or another, have helped write the story of Sans Amill.
A hundred years make for a lot of stories. And being able to continue writing them together is perhaps the best way to celebrate.
