Kriskadecor project with a cloud of creativity suspended in space.
The “Cache” installation, presented at HD Expo + Conference 2024, is an artistic work that fuses visual creativity and contemporary design, created by Kevin Barry Art Advisory (KBAA) and artist John Johnson. The piece simulates a cloud suspended in the air, from which silver aluminum chains fall, as if they were raindrops. The cloud, made of foam, has a soft but defined shape, while the metal chains provide a contrast between the ethereal and the structural.
The installation evokes the image of a storm in which, instead of water, shiny chains fall, creating a visual game that modifies the perception of space and movement. The chains seem to flow from the cloud, adding dynamism to the work, while the light reflects its metallic surface, generating a glow that recalls the transience of an ephemeral event, like a storm that quickly passes. This contrast between the softness of the foam cloud and the rigidity of the aluminum chains highlights the duality of nature, transforming the space into a rain not of water, but of light and metal.
What really distinguishes aluminum chains is their versatility. This material, used in an innovative way in installation, allows playing with different shapes, sizes and colors, making it an ideal choice for ephemeral art installations, events and exhibitions. Aluminum chains can be adapted to various configurations, creating striking visual effects that fit the needs of each project. This flexibility makes the material perfect for temporary works that must adapt to changing or transitory spaces, as in the case of “Cache”, where the chains become a vehicle for the continuous transformation of the space and the visual experience.
