Kriskadecor project that invites guests to travel through the stations of the Orient Express.
Kriskadecor made its debut in Vienna, covering several spaces of the Wunderkammer-Drinking & Dining and the lobby of the Renaissance Hotel, located in one of the city’s most fashionable spots, with its elegant anodized aluminum curtains. These spaces were designed by Christian Olufemi Architekten and Brumann Innenraumkonzepte GmbH, who created a unique design concept called “Rocking Baroque”, a perfect and unconventional blend of history, culture and innovation.
The hotel’s design is characterized by a creative fusion of baroque history and modernity, present in all its decorative elements. Renaissance imagery was combined with marble and high quality materials to create a comfortable and vibrant atmosphere in every room. The result was a refreshing and diverse hotel with a constantly evolving calendar of events that attracted tourists and locals alike.
An experience that blends classic and modern
The Wunderkammer-Drinking & Dining space, which serves as the hotel’s restaurant and centerpiece, invites guests to travel through the stations of the Orient Express. The term Wunderkammer refers to collectibles brought back by passengers during their journeys, adding a touch of history to the ambiance. These unique pieces, along with vintage photographs, provide a harmonious blend of classic and modern, transporting visitors back to a golden age of travel and exploration.
Kriskadecor, with its anodized aluminum chain curtains, captured these images on the walls of the space, providing a unique atmosphere that perfectly complemented the idea of the Wunderkammer. The lightness and transparency of the aluminum chains not only provided a decorative touch, but also contributed to the creation of a special atmosphere that made guests feel as if they were traveling back in time, between old and new.
