Stac Architecture Ltd. and Kriskadecor’s innovative project has transformed a historic Grade 2 listed building in Altrincham, creating a unique environment for Nando’s restaurant. The fusion of contemporary African art with versatile modern design has resulted in a space that honors the history of the site and celebrates contemporary culture.
A meeting of materials and colors
Nando’s restaurant stands out for its mix of warm materials, such as exposed brick, terracotta and hot-rolled steel sheet. These elements bring a sense of coziness, while Kriskadecor’s anodized aluminum chains in RAL Traffic Yellow transform the ambience with their vibrant color and unique texture. In Nando’s restaurant, the chains not only decorate, but also add movement, dynamism and a welcoming atmosphere that invites you to enjoy the space.
Kriskadecor’s design solutions blend perfectly into the room. The room dividers formed by undulating semicircles, the dynamic ceiling curtain and the cylindrical chandeliers covered by aluminum chains provide color and bring light into the room. These solutions not only create a unique aesthetic, but also serve a practical function by organizing the space in a fluid and modern way.
Nando’s Restaurant also incorporates contemporary African art into its décor, which provides a unique cultural connection.
