Kriskadecor's project with a chandelier that redefines welcome
Just a few steps from the center of Funchal, the Savoy Palace redefines the concept of luxury hospitality on Madeira Island. This five-star superior hotel combines refinement, modern comfort and the warmth of Madeiran tradition in a setting where every detail reflects the elegance of the Belle Époque. Its interior design, conceived as a tribute to the island’s history and natural landscape, fuses art, nature and local craftsmanship in a unique sensory experience.
The spacious lobby of the Savoy Palace acquires a special character thanks to the Kriskadecor chandelier, a sculptural piece that adds personality to the space. Made of aluminium chains, its luminous fall evokes the fluidity of water and the natural movement of waterfalls, creating a play of reflections that fills the room with light, luxury and sophistication. Accompanied by a large mirror that amplifies its visual effect, the result is a space that conveys spaciousness, elegance and an unforgettable sense of welcome.
Nature and art in perfect harmony
The hotel’s interior design, deeply inspired by nature and Madeira’s collective memory, incorporates noble materials, soft textures and perfect finishes. From the grand hall, which opens onto a garden of native and semi-tropical species, to the cascading waterfalls that flow into the lobby levadas, each element seeks to connect the guest with the environment. Vibrant hues, sinuous forms and Art Nouveau-inspired details reinforce this connection between classic elegance and the natural exuberance of the island.
Recognised as World’s Leading Luxury Hotel 2024 by the World Travel Awards, the Savoy Palace is much more than an accommodation: it is an ode to design, landscape and the art of hospitality, where the Kriskadecor chandelier symbolises the fusion between contemporary luxury and the luminous soul of Madeira.
