Kriskadecor project with image reproductions that connect with the essence of Japanese culture.
At the WakuWaku restaurant in Linz, every detail has been thoughtfully designed to awaken the senses and transform each visit into an experience that goes beyond the purely gastronomic. The warm lighting, elegant design and carefully selected materials envelop the visitor in an intimate atmosphere, where the Japanese spirit is reinterpreted with a contemporary sensibility.
The interior design project comes to life through striking backlit artistic compositions made with Kriskadecor aluminium chains. Thanks to in-house technology and an extensive palette of finishes and colours, the images are reproduced with remarkable precision: each chain link acts like a pixel, shaping vibrant, ethereal surfaces rich in depth that subtly shift with the light and the viewer’s perspective.
The scenes depicted connect with the essence of Japanese culture and bring a narrative dimension to the space. One of them evokes the harvesting of rice, a delicate homage to the agricultural tradition, while the other reinterprets a female figure inspired by the iconography of the geisha, conveying elegance, movement and serene beauty.
The combination of wood, textiles and metallic elements, along with a layout that balances intimacy and openness, creates a welcoming and sophisticated environment. Each element, from the dividers to the furniture and lighting, dialogues in harmony to create a coherent space, designed to be lived in calmly.
More than a Japanese restaurant, WakuWaku is a destination in itself: a benchmark of Asia Fusion Kitchen where interior design, innovation and culture intertwine to offer an immersive, authentic and deeply memorable experience.
