Kriskadecor receives the Special Mention in Design 2024

Published on 04-10-2024     |     Innovation

We are pleased to announce that José M. Sans Amill, S.A., the company behind the Kriskadecor brand, has been awarded a Special Mention in the Design and Company category at the National Innovation and Design Awards 2024, the highest recognition in the field of design in Spain. This prestigious award is granted by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.

The jury highlighted Kriskadecor's nearly century-long trajectory as "an example of the ability of design to transform a craft into an industrial product that infuses beauty, functionality, innovation, and identity into homes, establishments, and diverse spaces around the world."

Indeed, the true revolution of Kriskadecor emerged in the 2000s when the company made the strategic decision to make design a fundamental pillar of its development. Since then, each installation and project has not only told a story but has also inspired creativity and evoked all kinds of emotions. No one could have predicted that those modest metal curtains, originally installed at the doors of homes and commercial establishments, would eventually create light and shadow in the iconic Casa Batlló designed by Gaudí. To discover all the details, we invite you to read the story of innovation at Kriskadecor.
