We are pleased to announce that José M. Sans Amill, S.A., the company behind the Kriskadecor brand, has received a Special Mention in the Design and Business category at the National Innovation and Design Awards 2024, the highest recognition in the field of design in Spain. This prestigious award is given by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.
The jury highlighted Kriskadecor’s almost century-long history as “an example of design’s ability to turn a craft into an industrial product that floods homes, establishments and diverse spaces around the world with beauty, functionality, innovation and identity”.
Indeed, the real revolution at Kriskadecor came in the 2000s, when the company made the strategic decision to make design a fundamental pillar of its development. Since then, every installation and every project has not only told a story, but has inspired creativity and aroused all kinds of emotions. Not even the most adventurous forecaster could have imagined that the modest metallic curtains, initially installed on the doors of homes and commercial premises, would end up creating lights and shadows in Gaudí’s emblematic Casa Batlló. To discover all the details, we invite you to read Kriskadecor’s innovation story.
