Six Spanish brands, different materials and areas of expertise, and one shared design concept. Kriskadecor joined ACTIU, COSENTINO, Crevin, Fama and Joquer to shape a series of spaces created specifically for the MADRING paddock.
Promoted by Foro de Marcas Renombradas Españolas and developed under the design direction of Teresa Sapey + Partners, the project brought together furniture, surfaces, textiles and decorative solutions within a common visual language inspired by the identity of MADRING and by Spain itself.

Two aluminium chain suns by Kriskadecor
Kriskadecor’s contribution took the form of two large suns, each measuring five metres in diameter and made from aluminium chains.
Conceived as a tribute to the Spanish sun, the two suspended pieces feature a gradient of black, red, orange and satin gold. Their scale, colour and materiality give them a strong visual presence within the paddock while integrating them into the overall design concept developed by Teresa Sapey + Partners.
The installation demonstrates how aluminium chains can be used to create lightweight, large-scale suspended elements, combining colour, transparency and movement to transform the perception of a space.

A shared design language
The two suns form part of a wider intervention in which each participating company contributed its own materials and expertise.
The project includes flooring in the event’s characteristic yellow, red, white and black palette, as well as a three-metre-high sculptural ‘M’. Conceived as a reference to MADRING, the structure incorporates seating at its base to create a meeting point within the paddock.
Other elements include a sinuous sofa inspired by the ‘La Monumental’ curve and a large sculptural table that reproduces the circuit layout in negative.
Together, these pieces create a series of spaces in which different disciplines coexist within the same narrative, showing the diversity of Spanish design and industry through materials, forms and applications.
For Kriskadecor, the project offered another opportunity to explore the architectural potential of aluminium chains while working alongside other Spanish companies within a shared creative concept.
