Project with aluminum chains for the Spanish pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2018.
Kriskadecor was part of the 2018 Venice Architecture Biennale by the hand of architects Ana Matos and Antonio Samaniego with the Come-In project, a key installation that served as an obligatory step for all visitors to the Spanish pavilion, titled Becoming. This project transformed the space into an interactive and reflective environment, inviting viewers to connect with the ideas of growth and evolution on both an individual and collective level.
The installation consisted of an 8 meter high curtain, on which various hashtags representing the projects that made up the interior of the pavilion were reproduced. The words were suspended in the air and the colors were harmoniously integrated with the chromatic range of the garden surrounding the installation, creating a visual synergy between the natural environment and the artistic intervention.

According to the designer herself, Ana Matos, Come-In is “an exercise in connecting with our own growth, as individuals and as a cultural mass”. The words, perfectly legible in their resting state, blurred as visitors passed by, making the experience a dynamic and changing act, where human interaction modified the perception of the installation. This fusion of the static and the ephemeral invites us to reflect on how our perceptions and our culture continually evolve, as does our own individual growth.
This project not only highlights Kriskadecor’s ability to transform space through the innovative use of materials, but also highlights the power of interactive installations to generate sensory experiences that invite the public to reflect and connect with the environment.
