Project with aluminum chains that emulate the effect of rain
In the showroom of bathroom furniture firm Talsee, located in the Lucerne Valley, Swiss architecture firm Burkard Meyer, in collaboration with Konform AG, conceived an innovative idea for the design of the space: to recreate the effect of rain in the interior, fully integrating the showroom with the surrounding natural environment. This unique concept was realized through the installation of aluminum chains from Kriskadecor, creating an immersive and organic atmosphere that connected the interior with the exterior.
To implement this innovative concept, Kriskadecor’s technical department developed a completely new modular system, a solution that had not existed on the market until then. The aluminum chains, which extended throughout the space, made it possible to create a “rain passage” that separated the different departments of the showroom, turning each area into a unique and enveloping environment. The customer reception area, located in the center of the showroom, became the focal point of this visual effect, welcoming visitors with a unique sensory experience.
A technical solution that redefined space design
Aluminum chains of varying lengths, with the longest measuring 7.80 meters, created a transitional space that transformed the perception of the site, as if visitors were walking in a light rain. This “rain passage” not only served a separating function, but also added a striking visual element to the design, which was further enhanced by selective lighting. This lighting created a magical and unreal atmosphere, giving the space a unique energy that reinforced the luxurious and modern character of the showroom.
This project brought together all of Kriskadecor’s essential characteristics, since, in addition to providing the specific product requested by the client, an installation system was also developed that was completely suitable for the space, adapting to the needs of the project without losing functionality or aesthetics. The end result was a showroom that not only highlighted the beauty of Talsee’s products, but also offered an immersive and innovative experience, fusing interior design with the natural environment in a seamless way.
