On the occasion of the Salone del Mobile Milano 2026, we presented a stand conceived as a fluid path where the material guided the visitor’s experience.
The chains accompanied the space through colour transitions and changes in perspective that transformed the perception as one moved through the interior. The installation proposed a direct relationship with the material, inviting us to discover its movement, texture and lightness from both a visual and sensorial dimension.
More than a space to observe, the stand became a place to interact, explore and connect. Throughout the week, many visitors spontaneously reached out to touch the chains and physically experience the behaviour of the material within the space.
The material as an experience
The project started from a simple idea: to turn the material into the element capable of defining the spatial experience.
The superimposition of layers generated transparencies, depth and movement, while the light constantly modified the atmosphere of the surroundings. Visitors did not simply move through the space; they activated it.
The stand also incorporated various pieces designed to encourage interaction and encounters. The circular Shaped Frame structure naturally became one of the most photographed points of the space, along with the custom-designed chain link sofa by Grassoler and the Dorik tables by ACTIU, integrated into the space as meeting and resting points.
A particularly significant year
The proposal also coincided with an important moment: the celebration of 100 years of trajectory.
The stand reflected that energy of constant evolution and a way of understanding design from the exchange and closeness. 100 years that have led us to grow understanding each project as something that is built together.
Design and collaboration
The stand was designed by Odosdesign in collaboration with our team, developing a space capable of combining materiality, interaction and sensory experience within the context of the Salone.
More than an ephemeral installation, the project proposed a new way of relating to material and space.
