From 28 September to 1 October, Feria Hábitat Valencia 2026 once again brought together professionals and brands from across the interiors and design sector. For this edition, Odosdesign was responsible for the fair’s art direction, shaping an experience that connected different disciplines and spaces, from its visual identity and communal areas to projects such as Hotel Hábitat and the exhibition dedicated to the National Innovation and Design Awards.
Kriskadecor’s aluminium chains appeared at three points along this journey, taking on a different role in each: as part of an immersive installation at the entrance to the fair, evoking the sea in a Mediterranean-inspired suite, and through Feel Free in an exhibition spanning four decades of Spanish design.

An immersive welcome
The first installation welcomed visitors at the Foro Centro entrance. As part of the art direction developed by Odosdesign, it transformed the entrance to the fair into an immersive experience, with aluminium chains helping to define the space through colour, transparency and movement.

A Mediterranean terrace with a twenty-year story
At Hotel Hábitat, a project designed by Joaquín Homs, Odosdesign returned to the origins of its own story to create one of the suites. The starting point was Ensombra, the parasol the studio first presented as a prototype twenty years ago and which, after being added to the GandiaBlasco collection, became a key piece in the studio’s early days.
Two decades later, Ensombra inspired a concept that brought outdoor living indoors, evoking a Mediterranean terrace through filtered light, reflections and movement. Within this setting, Kriskadecor’s aluminium chains evoked the sea through their reflections and movement, helping to create a light, ever-changing atmosphere.

Four decades of Spanish design
Kriskadecor’s third presence could be found in the exhibition dedicated to the National Innovation and Design Awards. Also designed by Odosdesign, the exhibition brought together a selection of works by companies and professionals recognised between 1987 and 2026, tracing four decades of Spanish design.
Among the pieces on display was Feel Free, the freestanding aluminium chain system designed by estudi{H}ac for Kriskadecor. The system can be used to create divisions and configure spaces flexibly, without the need for fixing points on ceilings or walls.
Three spaces within the same experience and three different ways of approaching aluminium chains: as an architectural element, as a resource for creating atmospheres and as a design product.
