Kriskadecor participates in the Madrid Design Festival 2025 through the installation “The sea inside the city”, a tribute to the urban identity of Barcelona. Developed by students from LCI Barcelona, it is part of the exhibition “The line dreams”, curated by Javier Riera and designed by Studio Animal. The exhibition explores the relationship between light and space and can be visited free of charge at the Fernán Gómez Theater in Madrid until April 20.
For this project, we have contributed with our aluminum chains, integrated in the innovative Feel Free system, designed by estudi{H}ac. This system allows installation without the need for ceiling or wall fixings, allowing great creative freedom. The interaction between light and metal generates an enveloping atmosphere that transports the essence of the sea to the heart of the city, reflecting its impact on the urban evolution of Barcelona.
“The sea inside the city” is a proposal of the students Pol Vallès, Anna Maria Canals and Laia Huguet during their time as students at LCI Barcelona, under the tutelage of Professor Edgar Dominguez and that, after its presentation at Llum BCN 2024, now comes to Madrid with the support of Kriskadecor and COM.LED.
About “The Line Dreams”.
The show delves into the relationship between light and space, offering a sensory experience that invites reflection on perception and creativity. Curated by Javier Riera, with the advice of ROOM and the design of Studio Animal, the exhibition brings together 45 creators and brands presenting nearly 70 works and installations. These proposals stand out for their ability to transform environments through light, exploring its artistic and emotional power.
