In a constantly evolving environment, extended reality (XR) technology, which includes Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality, has consolidated its position as an essential component in the habitat industry. But despite remarkable progress, the creation of photorealistic 3D models remains a major challenge.
For this reason, Kriskadecor is actively participating in the REALINT project, whose goal is to redefine the way we relate to our environment, merging creativity with technological innovation. And it does so by addressing the potential of Neural Radiance Fieldsb (NeRF) in a pioneering way in the sector.
This innovative technology, adapted and enhanced by Arquimea Research Center, will enable the creation of realistic models for products and interior design spaces. These models will be able to be seamlessly integrated into various extended reality applications developed by technology companies Global Virtual Real Estate and PixelsHub. Finally, this new approach will be tested and validated by Kriskadecor and Luxes.
REALINT: Innovation and collaboration to transform the Habitat sector
The impact on the industry will be significant, since REALINT not only represents a technological exploration, but will also provide innovative tools to optimize the different processes of the value chain of design, manufacturing, prescription and marketing of products in the habitat sector.
The REALINT project enriches the Interiors Living Lab line of work of the AMBIT cluster, on advanced visualization and simulation tools for interior design projects. It also stands out as an example of the collaboration promoted by AMBIT with technological clusters such as the Asturias ICT Cluster, a beneficiary partner of the project.
The REALINT project is co-financed by the Innovative Business Groupings Program (AEI) of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, with the support of the European Union through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
