Aluminum chain project with color as language
Artist Erika Hock has taken the relationship between color and space to a new level in her latest installation for the Fraunhofer Institute for Mechanics of Materials IWM. In this work, Kriskadecor chains play a central role, blurring the boundaries between art, architecture and design. The installation not only invites contemplation, but also interaction, making visitors not only see, but inhabit the space, turning color into a way of experiencing and thinking about the environment.
The use of Kriskadecor’s Luxe Color Edition finish, which allows the chain links to be customized with colors from the RAL and Pantone charts, brings to life the pastel green (RAL 6019) and signal blue (RAL 5005) tones, which become the protagonists of this visually striking composition. This color palette not only acts as an aesthetic element, but also transforms the space, inviting visitors to rethink their relationship with the environment and explore the connection between body and matter.

Color as a sensory experience
Erika Hock’s installation demonstrates that color is not only a visual element, but a language that communicates, a sensory experience that goes beyond the merely decorative. Kriskadecor’s design amplifies this idea, showing how color can be a powerful tool in the design of spaces, where each tone, each shade, can transform the user’s perception and interaction with the space. In this work, color becomes possibility: a new way of thinking, experiencing and inhabiting environments.
