Kriskadecor Outdoor’s KDO Kinetic System has been recognized with an Honorable Mention in the “Building Materials & Facades: Metal” category at the 11th edition of the Best of Products Awards 2025, organized by the American magazine The Architect’s Newspaper.
Each year, this specialized publication honors the most innovative products and materials in the architecture and construction sector, rewarding those designs that contribute to creating safer, more sustainable and aesthetically inspiring environments.
This recognition highlights Kriskadecor Outdoor ‘s commitment to innovation and creativity, values that are reflected in the development of the KDO Kinetic System, an architectural solution that uses aluminum chains to respond to the natural movement of the wind, transforming what was once a static structure into a living, constantly moving surface.
The first installation of this system was carried out in the Aerodynamics Laboratory of Oritia & Boreas in Granada, an expert in wind engineering. Located in front of a 92 feet wide by 7 feet high window, the system creates an optical illusion of metallic fabric, generating an undulating and hypnotic pattern that responds dynamically to wind speed and direction.
