At Kriskadecor we have been transforming a simple idea into a design language that connects emotions and spaces for almost a century. Our story began in 1926, in Montblanc (Tarragona, Spain), when a young inventor set out to create a machine to join chain links, and ended up designing the first metal chain curtains that, without knowing it, would mark the beginning of a legacy.
Since then, three generations of the Sans family have turned that invention into a brand present in more than 90 countries. What was once a practical solution to prevent insects from entering homes and businesses in the Mediterranean, today shapes the interiors of hotels, offices and stores around the world. Special Mention for a history of innovation, design and roots
In 2024 we received a Special Mention in the Design and Business category at the National Innovation and Design Awards, a recognition that highlights precisely that: how design can transform a craft into an innovative, flexible and aesthetically unique industrial product.
To celebrate this, we have created a visual piece that takes us on a journey in the blink of an eye: from summers on the porch of a family home to projects signed by internationally renowned architects and designers. And with it, we go one step further: we leave behind our previous slogan “Linking Ideas” to embrace what truly defines us today: “Linking Emotions”.
A tribute to our roots, to the passion for detail and to a philosophy we still strongly believe in: “There’s nothing that can’t be done; you just have to find the way”.
